SAI Kolkata felicitated Asian Games medallists Sahil Rajesh Jadhav, Kirti Sharma and Satnam Singh on 26 October 2026. The ceremony celebrated archery golds and a landmark rowing bronze at the Aichi-Nagoya Games.

Beyond the podium

Sahil won gold in men’s compound team and mixed compound team archery, while Kirti was part of India’s gold-medal-winning women’s recurve team. Rower Satnam Singh shared India’s first men’s double sculls Asian Games bronze with Salman Khan.

The athletes’ coaching teams were recognised, including Haresh Kumar, Udham Singh and Inderpal Singh. Support from regional centres remains vital to India’s long-term sporting development.

Kolkata’s role

The felicitation underlined the importance of the SAI coaching and training network, including the National Centre of Excellence in Kolkata, in developing international-level athletes.
