Kolkata: Luxury streetwear label Off-White™ has made its debut in eastern India with a new boutique at Quest Mall, Kolkata. The opening marks the brand’s third retail store in India, following Bengaluru and New Delhi, and brings its distinctive crossover of street fashion, art and contemporary luxury to one of the country’s most culturally influential cities.
Bollywood actor Shanaya Kapoor inaugurated the Kolkata boutique, while fashion and lifestyle creators were part of the launch experience. Among those brought into the store-opening conversation was Kolkata-based influencer Mohit Kumar, who shared his visit and Off-White look with his audience, helping introduce the global brand to a local fashion community.
A new luxury streetwear address at Quest Mall
The new Off-White store is located at Unit 102, first floor, Quest Mall, Syed Amir Ali Avenue, Kolkata 700017. Operated by Brand Concepts Ltd., it stocks selected apparel, footwear and accessories from the label’s seasonal collections.
The boutique’s visual direction is unmistakably Off-White: clean structural lines meet industrial-style details, a minimalist palette and striking contrasts. The aesthetic draws on the design language associated with the brand’s late founder, Virgil Abloh, whose work helped bring luxury fashion and street culture into the same creative conversation.

For Kolkata shoppers, the launch means a physical destination to experience Off-White collections rather than relying only on purchases made while travelling or through online channels. For the brand, it signals confidence in luxury demand outside the cities that have traditionally dominated India’s international-fashion retail map.
Mohit Kumar brings Kolkata’s fashion creator community into the launch
The launch was not solely a celebrity-led ribbon-cutting. Kolkata’s fashion and lifestyle creator network also formed part of the event’s local visibility, with Mohit Kumar among the influencers associated with the opening.
In photographs from the boutique, Mohit is seen styling the label’s oversized streetwear and statement accessories against the store’s industrial interiors. In one look, he pairs a dark sweatshirt with relaxed shorts and graphic sneakers; in another, he wears a varsity-style jacket featuring Off-White branding. The result reflects the brand’s blend of sportswear references, elevated casual dressing and bold visual identity.

Mohit also documented the store on Instagram on 1 October 2026, describing the label’s appeal in terms of individual expression and calling the new boutique “a new fashion address in the city.” His post linked the store to Kolkata’s growing appetite for expressive fashion, rather than presenting the opening simply as another retail announcement.

Shanaya Kapoor adds celebrity visibility to the Kolkata debut
The event also had national celebrity presence, with Bollywood actor Shanaya Kapoor launching the new boutique. Her appearance brought a familiar entertainment name into Off-White’s Kolkata opening and added to the attention generated around the brand’s arrival in the city.
Celebrity appearances captured at the launch
Off-White India’s own launch photographs show Shanaya Kapoor exploring the collection. In its coverage of the event, iDiva also pictured Kapoor with Shivika Goenka, Director – Luxury & Education, RPSG Group, bringing a second confirmed name into the opening-day story.

Alongside the celebrity inauguration, the involvement of local influencers and fashion creators gave the event a second layer of visibility: an audience that follows Kolkata style, local retail discoveries and streetwear trends through social media. Other creators were part of the event, although a complete independently verified guest list was not available for publication.
This combination is strategically relevant. A high-profile celebrity can create nationwide awareness, while local fashion creators can make an international label feel culturally connected and accessible to the city’s style-conscious audiences. It is a useful example of how luxury retail launches can build both aspiration and community relevance.
Why Kolkata matters to Off-White’s India expansion
Off-White’s third Indian outlet extends the brand’s retail footprint eastward after Bengaluru and Delhi. In a market where luxury consumption is increasingly shaped by a broader group of fashion-forward customers, Kolkata offers more than simply another premium shopping address: it has an established artistic identity, a strong fashion vocabulary and an active community of digital creators.
Shivika Goenka, Director – Luxury & Education, RPSG Group, has described Kolkata’s fashion audience as increasingly global in its outlook. The new Off-White store fits that positioning, bringing an international street-luxury name into a local environment known for its own creative sensibility.
The retailer, Brand Concepts Ltd., has presented the expansion as part of a wider strategy to connect globally recognised fashion brands with India’s evolving luxury customer. The practical test will be how effectively the store sustains discovery, repeat engagement and customer experience beyond its opening event.
Beyond the opening: What the launch says about influencer marketing
The Kolkata opening also illustrates a wider shift in how international fashion labels introduce themselves to regional markets. Retail presence establishes the physical touchpoint. Celebrity attendance creates a recognisable launch moment. Creator participation translates that moment into styling inspiration, local conversation and audience-led discovery.
For Kolkata-based creators such as Mohit Kumar, fashion-store openings also provide an opportunity to position themselves within global brand narratives while keeping the storytelling anchored in the city. For brands, the value lies in choosing voices that understand both the product and the audience—not simply adding names to an invitation list.
The Mojo Pulse view: Off-White’s arrival at Quest Mall is significant not just because it is the label’s third Indian store. The combination of a considered retail environment, national celebrity visibility and Kolkata-specific creator engagement shows how premium brands can connect physical expansion with contemporary cultural relevance.
