Editorial Policy

OUR STANDARDS

Editorial
Policy.

The principles that guide how MOJO PULSE discovers, develops, reviews and publishes stories for our readers.

Last Updated: July 2026

MOJO PULSE is committed to producing accessible, relevant and responsible digital journalism covering Kolkata’s business, creator and cultural landscape, alongside wider developments that matter to our readers.

Our editorial process is built around accuracy, appropriate attribution, transparency and editorial judgment. This policy explains the standards we aim to follow when researching, producing, reviewing and updating content published on MOJO PULSE.

01
OUR PRINCIPLES

Editorial Independence

Editorial decisions at MOJO PULSE are guided by relevance, public interest, reader value and editorial judgment.

The existence of a commercial relationship, advertising arrangement or business association does not automatically guarantee editorial coverage.

Where commercial considerations have materially influenced the creation or publication of content, the content should be appropriately identified or disclosed.

02
ACCURACY

Accuracy & Fact-Checking

We aim to publish information that is accurate and supported by reliable sources available to us at the time of publication.

Depending on the nature of a story, information may be verified through official statements, company announcements, public records, direct interviews, press releases, reputable news organisations or other credible sources.

Our Standard

We do not knowingly publish fabricated facts, quotations, statistics or claims. When information cannot be independently verified, we aim to make the source and status of that information clear where appropriate.

Breaking and developing stories may change as new information becomes available. Such articles may be updated to reflect significant developments.

03
TRANSPARENCY

Sources & Attribution

MOJO PULSE covers stories using information from a range of sources, including original reporting, interviews, official announcements, press releases, public statements, social media, publicly available information and reporting by other publications.

When a story materially relies on information first reported by another publication or organisation, we aim to provide appropriate attribution.

We encourage our editorial contributors to consult multiple reliable sources when covering complex, disputed or developing stories.

Anonymous sources should be used cautiously and only when there is a legitimate reason to protect the identity of the source.

04
CONTENT

Originality

MOJO PULSE aims to add meaningful editorial value to the stories we publish.

This may include original reporting, additional research, interviews, analysis, local context, industry perspectives or explanations that help readers better understand a story.

We do not support the unauthorised reproduction of complete articles from other publications as original MOJO PULSE journalism.

Short quotations may be used where relevant and appropriately attributed. Third-party photographs, videos and other media should only be used when MOJO PULSE has appropriate permission, licensing or another valid basis for their use.

05
TECHNOLOGY

Technology & Artificial Intelligence

MOJO PULSE may use digital tools and artificial intelligence technologies to support parts of the editorial workflow.

These technologies may assist with tasks such as research, news discovery, transcription, summarisation, content organisation, drafting, editing, translation, search optimisation and other production processes.

AI MAY ASSIST WITH

Research, organisation, summarisation, drafting, editing and production workflows.

EDITORIAL RESPONSIBILITY

The use of technology does not remove our responsibility to maintain appropriate standards for accuracy, attribution and transparency.

AI-generated or AI-assisted information should not be treated as an independent factual source. Material claims should be based on credible underlying information.

We do not knowingly use artificial intelligence to fabricate quotations, sources, events or factual claims and present them as real.

06
NEWS DISCOVERY

News Monitoring & RSS Feeds

MOJO PULSE may use RSS feeds, news monitoring services, alerts, publicly available information and automated technologies to discover stories and identify developments that may be relevant to our readers.

The discovery of a story through an automated system does not, by itself, constitute original reporting.

Where MOJO PULSE publishes coverage based substantially on information originating from another publication, company, organisation or news source, appropriate attribution should be provided where applicable.

07
SUBMISSIONS

Press Releases & Submitted Stories

MOJO PULSE welcomes story pitches, announcements and press releases from businesses, startups, entrepreneurs, creators, brands, PR professionals, event organisers and other organisations.

Submission of a press release does not guarantee publication. The editorial team may select, edit, shorten, expand or decline submitted material based on relevance and editorial judgment.

Information supplied by third parties may be edited for clarity, style and relevance. Submitters are responsible for ensuring that information and materials supplied to MOJO PULSE are accurate and that they have the appropriate rights to provide photographs, videos and other media.

09
DISCLOSURE

Conflicts of Interest

Contributors and editorial decision-makers should avoid allowing undisclosed personal or commercial interests to improperly influence editorial coverage.

Where a significant relationship could reasonably affect how readers interpret a recommendation, review or piece of coverage, an appropriate disclosure should be considered.

10
ACCOUNTABILITY

Corrections & Updates

If we become aware of a material factual error in published content, we aim to review the issue and make an appropriate correction where necessary.

Articles may also be updated when new information becomes available, particularly in developing stories.

Readers who believe an article contains a factual error can contact MOJO PULSE with details of the article and the information they believe requires review.
